About Wendalin Whitman
Born in Reading Pennsylvania, Wendalin Whitman attended the Taft School in Connecticut, continuing on to Emory University and then the University of Virginia. She was an avid tennis player and basketball player winning the Gould Sports Award at Taft. At the collegiate level, she excelled in tennis to the national finals of AIAW Tennis while playing for Emory University. After obtaining a degrees in Economics and Languages at the University of Virginia, she was recruited to work for Club Mediterranee as a tennis professional. Spending six months in Guaymas Mexico, she was promoted to chief of the tennis program coordinating the tennis program for ten teaching professionals and 200 guests per week. After six months in Mexico, she shifted her focus in Club Med to management and began training as a gestionairre ( head accountant) and spent another four years working in various Club Med locations from the British West Indies, Bahamas, Morocco and Switzerland. It was in Saint Moritz that Wendalin determined that she preferred an Alpine lifestyle and directed her focus back to the United States.
Wendalin moved to Aspen in 1989 and after obtaining her real estate license in 1990, she trained and spent two years working for Coldwell Banker in Aspen. In 1993, she was part of the opening team and worked for three years at Joshua and Company with Joshua Saslove. In 1996, she started Whitman Fine Properties of Aspen. Whitman Fine Properties has maintained a consistent sales record between 30 to 65 million each year since the opening. She obtained both the GRI and CRS degrees in real estate.
Wendalin loves living in Aspen for it's beauty and athletic lifestyle. Her main hobbies are skiing, skate skiing, yoga, mountain biking and hiking. In the off season she strives to travel to other locations for windsurfing and diving. She loves to travel and makes an effort to keep up her French and Spanish languages skills from college and Club Med. She is involved with the Aspen Institute and other charitable organizations such as the Aspen Music Festival. She has served on the Board for The Ridge of Red Mountain for over eight years. Six years ago, Wendalin took on her most important role yet - as mom to daughter Leilah.
